Each season the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) recognizes athletic programs that have student-athletes who are able to maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA amongst their Varsity-level athletes. The athletic programs with these high-ranking students also have the honor of being recognized as an OSAA Academic All-State team when ranked in the Top 10 in the state amongst GPA for their classification.

This year Woodburn School District has four programs led by Coach Menezes, Coach Mace, Coach Whiteman, and Coach Pankey that are recognized by the OSAA as Academic All-State team and five programs with 3.0 GPA or higher.

The Woodburn teams awarded Academic All-State Honors are the following:

Boys Cross Country – 3.26 GPA

Football – 3.08 GPA (#9 in the state)

Girls Cross Country – 3.91 GPA (#5 in the state)

Girls Soccer – 3.62 GPA (#10 in the state)*

Volleyball – 3.61 GPA (#8 in the state)

Congratulations to Coach Menezes, Coach Mace, Coach Whiteman, and Coach Pankey on this accomplishment, and congratulations to all of the amazing student-athletes for their hard work and diligence in the classroom.
